There is still some fuel left in Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s Stree 2 at the Indian box office.
With Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao playing the leads, Street 2 has been a box office success story. Without star power, it has managed to earn an unimaginable amount at the box office, and it still hasn’t worn off. Based on the latest update, it has now surpassed Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 lifetime and is on track to reach 600 crores. Read on to find out more!
In addition to being a sequel to a critical and commercial success like Stree, the film was backed by the Maddock Supernatural Universe, which increased the level of excitement for the film. Apart from these two factors, a successful promotional campaign and a hit music album contributed to the success of the Stree sequel.
The combination of strong buzz on the ground level and positive word-of-mouth has helped Stree 2 register a record-breaking run. The film completed a 22-day theatrical run yesterday, and during this period, it earned a staggering 526.43 crores, including more than 70 crores in its third week.
There is no doubt that Stree 2 has been watched by a large portion of the audience, so the pace will naturally slow down in the upcoming week. However, a lack of competition in the Hindi belt will again help in fetching impressive numbers. It’s just a matter of weeks before the film surpasses 600 crores.
Following a record-breaking collection in the third week, Stree 2 has set its sights on achieving an all-time high during the fourth and fifth weeks. It is estimated that the film will earn an additional 25 crores during the fourth weekend and maintain a steady pace on weekdays, resulting in a total earning of approximately 40 crores by the end of the week. The fifth week is predicted to bring in another 20 crores, bringing the film’s overall earnings to around 585 or slightly more. The remaining 15 crores will be gradually accumulated over time.
So, Stree 2 is very much in a position to enter the 600 crore club at the Indian box office. Whenever this happens, it will be Bollywood’s second film to achieve the feat after Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan. In this journey, the film will surpass Pathaan (543.22 crores) and Animal (554 crores).
